That would require accessing the physical machine,
which the original poster already said is not an
option.  It could be done with a virus/trojan, but if
you're going that route, you could just grab the DB
files directly instead and have them emailed to you,
then you can forget about patching anything.

A bit overkill, and a bit to set up...  Of course, if
you were going to install anything, you could just
install an older pre-2000 version of ICQ for that,
since they already don't ack offline messages
correctly anymore...
