Chances are, they simply assume that because there is a new version of ICQ,
then there is a new version of the protocol as well. That would be
consistant with previous versions. ICQ98 used v2, ICQ99 used v5, ICQ2000
uses v7, so they probably think ICQ2001 uses v8.
